OLD BUSINESS Station 4 TV - FFITB funded the cabinet for the TV at station 4. Review from FF/P Lindgren is that it came out really nice. If anything could have been done different, he would have ordered a bigger cabinet, otherwise it turned out great! SCBA Mask Bags – FFITB purchased a resupply of SCBA mask bags embroidered with badge numbers. Update from FF/E Wachal is that they received the bags and all is well. ImageTrend Conference – Division Chief Manthy thanks the FFITB for their support. The conference went well. Three members attended the conference and the cost was well under the budgeted amount. Division Chief Roberts, attended a workshop on Continuum which is a new data analytics program that was purchased. FF/P Gripper attended a workshop for inspection and preplan program which will work with the interface for the Building Department’s inspections. Station Alerting - Lieutenant Rymut said that the monies approved at the previous meeting is going well. It is not completed yet. When the installer showed up, due to the depths of the walls at Station 4, they thought they were going to be over budget and need more money but it all worked out in the end with the Fire Department covering additional costs. For the three display boards, we received the mounting brackets and the monitors have been ordered and IT has the computers for them. Station 1’s location is figured out and we are working on locations for Station 3 & 4. They will be installed next month. Technical Rescue Team – Funds were used to screen print Carthartt jackets for the Technical Rescue Team. Ross Chapman said that all jackets are screen printed and completed. Topic for a future meeting, Lieutenant Piscitiello brought up that the new bunker gear has setup where you can integrate a gut belt into. Air One will no longer sell the gut belt branded gear because of manufacturer issues. There was also discussion about bailout kits. The bailout kits are outdated and looking for a replacement. Jim Stempien said for the Technical Rescue Team, Team Leader Retel has recently added two new members. Every member is assigned a kit of equipment and every member has personalized stickers for all their items. The new members plus an additional member that has changed over needs stickers Foreign Fire Insurance Tax Board 2022 3rd Qtr 9.8.2022 printed. Mark has reached out to Public Works to print the stickers in their workshop but they cannot accommodate the request what we’re trying to make. Jim reached out to the previous online company and it is about $70 per member to print up the stickers. This vendor will only accept credit card as payment when item is shipped. Jim Stempien made a motion for $300 to purchase the remaining needed Technical Rescue team stickers using the online vendor stickercutting.com or through Suburban Access, whichever provides the best price; seconded by Rob Losik. Turnout Gear – Chief Hanselman attended the previous meeting with requests for funds to supplement the purchase of the second set of turnout gear. Everything went great and he thanks the FFITB. Bottled Water – FF/E Kuhn says that our system for rehabbing bottled water is nonexistent. Some of our rigs have gone out of town and found refrigerators and cases of bottled waters on vehicles. Stu researched prices for pallets of bottled water from nearby vendors. A pallet of water is the ballpark of $400 - $500. Most vendor can deliver. Each station and engineers will make the decision of where to store their water. Jim Stempien made a motion not to exceed $600 to purchase a pallet of water to be delivered from the best priced vendor around. Pallet will be delivered to Station 2 and the water will be distributed accordingly; seconded by Kevin Flynn. Stu Kuhn will coordinate with Biljana on the purchase. Roll was called. Ayes: S. Scott received a quote from Mike at Direct Fitness Solutions in the amount of $15,152. Direct Fitness Solutions is the only authorized vendor in our area for Peloton bikes. T-Shirts – With the new guidelines on uniforms and the possibility of wearing t-shirts on extremely hot days, Administration is hoping that our members are in one uniformed t-shirt and not the variety that is out there. This current year, members wore appropriate t-shirts that they had on hand. If the same policy is in place next year, Administration wants members in one uniformed t-shirt, no variations and no wear and tear. Jim Stempien reached out to our current vendor Special T Unlimited and they gave us great pricing. Jim, Rob and Ross did a test run and found a shirt that they like. There’s a print on them and it’s been washed, dried, shrink tested and they hold up well. The original design will be used. T- shirt quote is $12 a shirt up to XL printed and it increases to $14 a shirt at XXL and larger. There is no money in the uniform budget for this. Ross Chapman made a motion for $12,000 for 5 t-shirts per member plus extras to be purchased through Special T Unlimited; seconded by Rob Losik. Roll was called. Ayes: S. Miller, K. Flynn, R.
