Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Saville called the meeting to order at 3:04pm. ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Chairperson Mike Saville, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Sherman Jenkins and Alderman Ron Woerman Absent: 1 - Vice Chair Patty Smith APPROVAL OF MINUTES 22-0942 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on November 9, 2022 . A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final November 21, 2022 Development Committee 22-0930 An Ordinance amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to rezone Property located at 930 W New York St from R-4 Two Family Dwelling District to R-2 One Family Dwelling District A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Woerman, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0931 An Ordinance amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to rezone the property located at 574 E Galena Boulevard from R-4 Two Family Dwelling District to R-2 One Family Dwelling District A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0932 An Ordinance amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to rezone the vacant property located at 801 Claim St from M-2 Manufacturing District - General to R-3 One Family Dwelling District A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0933 An Ordinance amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to rezone the property located at 127 N Sumner Avenue from B-3 Business and Wholesale District to R-3 One Family Dwelling District A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0934 An Ordinance amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to rezone the vacant property located at the northwest corner of Prairie St and BNSF Railroad from R-1 One Family Dwelling District to P Park and Recreation District A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0936 An Ordinance amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to rezone the vacant property located south of East New York Street and east of Oakview Avenue from R-1 One Family Dwelling District to P Park and Recreation District A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0937 An Ordinance amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to rezone the property located at 536 East New York Street from P Park and Recreation District to R-2 One Family Dwelling District A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Saville adjourned the meeting at 3:21pm.
