Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Smith called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Patty Smith, Vice Chair Shweta Baid, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Mike Saville and Alderman Bill Donnell APPROVAL OF MINUTES 24-0767 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on October 9, 2024 . A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0839 An Ordinance approving a revision to the Savannah Crossing Plan Description on 1.15 Acres for Property located at 1390 Butterfield Road Emma Field - Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora Justin Carewell - Atwell Group A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0841 A Resolution approving a Final Plan on Lot 8 of Savannah Crossing Subdivision, located at 1390 Butterfield Road for a Drive-Through Facility Use Emma Field - Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora Justin Carewell - Atwell Group A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0872 An Ordinance Vacating a Portion of Dedicated Public Right of Way for Middle Avenue, near the Property located at 600 South Lake Street, in Kane County, Aurora, Illinois, 60506 Steve Broadwell - Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora Ken Mikes - Richards - Wilcox, Inc. A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0873 An Ordinance Annexing Property located at 1457 Indian Avenue to the City of Aurora, pursuant to a Water Service Agreement Tracey Vacek, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0876 An Ordinance Annexing Property located at 361 Eastern Avenue to the City of Aurora, pursuant to a Water Service Agreement Tracey Vacek, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0874 An Ordinance Vacating a City Easement on the property located at 1002 North Farnsworth Avenue, in Kane County, Aurora, Illinois 60505 Emma Field, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora Ed Sieben, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 BUILDING, ZONING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RESOLUTIONS 24-0824 A Resolution Approving a Revision to the Final Plan on Lot 2 of Life Storage Center Subdivision, located at 1650 North Randall Road for a Mini-Storage, Common Corridor Units (3342) use . Steve Broadwell, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora Mike Aufderheide - SGW Architecture & Design A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 CLOSED SESSION City of Aurora Page 3 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final November 13, 2024 Development Committee ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Smith adjourned the meeting at 4:35 pm.
