Please contact the Aldermen's Office at (630) 256-3020. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Saville called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Chairperson Mike Saville, Vice Chair Patty Smith, Alderwoman Juany Garza and Alderman-At-Large Will White Absent: 1 - Alderman Javier Bañuelos APPROVAL OF MINUTES 25-1026 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning, and Economic Development Committee meeting held on December 10, 2025 . A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final January 14, 2026 Development Committee 25-0984 An Ordinance Granting a Conditional Use Permit for a Social Service Agencies, Charitable Organizations, Health Related Facilities, and similar uses when not operated for pecuniary profit (6630) Use to allow an emergency warming shelter on the Property located at 712 S. River Street Tracey Vacek, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora Nicole Mullins, Community Services - City of Aurora A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 25-1045 An Ordinance amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to rezone Property located at 462 Jackson Street from R-4 Two Family Dwelling to R-3 One Family Dwelling Jane Rechner, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora Tracey Vacek, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 BUILDING, ZONING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RESOLUTIONS 25-0919 A Resolution Approving a Final Plan on Lot 3 of Mitchell Road Industrial Park Subdivision, located at 2355 Mitchell Road, for a Warehouse, Distribution and Storage Services (3300) Use and Business and Professional, Office (2400) Use. Steve Broadwell, Zoning & Planning - City of Aurora Zachary Grabijas - Lincoln Property Company A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 4 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Saville adjourned the meeting at 4:26 pm.
