Weisner on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. or immediately following the Committee of the Whole Meeting, whichever comes first, in the City Council Chambers, Aurora City Hall, 44 E. Downer Place - 2nd floor, Aurora, Illinois. CALL TO ORDER The Special City Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Weisner at 6:54 P.M. ROLL CALL The City Clerk was requested to call the roll. Present: 12 - Mayor Tom Weisner, Alderman Tina Bohman, Alderman Juany Garza, Alderman Ted Mesiacos, Alderman Mike Saville, Alderman Scheketa Hart-Burns, Alderman Rick Mervine, Alderman Edward Bugg, Alderman Lynne Johnson, Alderman Richard Irvin, Alderman Bob O'Connor and Alderman Carl Franco Absent: 1 - Alderman Bill Donnell PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Due to the City of Aurora being under an active Tornado Warning the Pledge of Allegiance was not conducted during the meeting. INVOCATION A brief invocation was given by Alderman Hart-Burns. APPOINTMENT OF SERGEANT-AT-ARMS A motion was made by Alderman Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderman Irvin to appoint Officer Hornberg as Sergeant-at-Arms for this meeting. A motion was made by Alderman Saville and seconded by Alderman Hart-Burns to approve the Ordinance to purchase real estate at 19-21 Broadway, Aurora Illinois. Aye: 11 - Alderman Bohman, Alderman Garza, Alderman Mesiacos, Alderman Saville, Alderman Hart-Burns, Alderman Mervine, Alderman Bugg, Alderman Johnson, Alderman Irvin, Alderman O'Connor and Alderman Franco Enactment No: O15-049 SPEAKERS CLOSED SESSION ADJOURN A motion was made by Alderman Saville , seconded by Alderman Hart-Burns, that this City Council Meeting be adjourned.
