Present: 13 - Mayor Tom Weisner, Alderman Tina Bohman, Alderman Juany Garza, Alderman Ted Mesiacos, Alderman Bill Donnell, Alderman Mike Saville, Alderman Scheketa Hart-Burns, Alderman Rick Mervine, Alderman Edward Bugg, Alderman Lynne Johnson, Alderman Richard Irvin, Alderman Bob O'Connor and Alderman Carl Franco PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE INVOCATION MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2015 16-00006 Approval of the Tuesday, December 22, 2015 City Council Meeting Minutes. A motion was made by Scheketa Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderman Bugg to approve the minutes from the Tuesday, December 22, 2015 City Council meeting. Alderman Hart-Burns would abstain from voting on this item. The motion carried by a voice vote. APPOINTMENT OF SERGEANT-AT-ARMS A motion was made by Alderman Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderman Irvin to appoint Officer Hornburg as Sergeant-at-Arms for this meeting. The motion carried by a voice vote. MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS 16-00018 A Resolution Authorizing the Appointment of Kristen Ziman as Chief of Police for the City of Aurora, Illinois. A motion was made by Alderman Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderman Irvin, that the appointment of Kristen Ziman as Police Chief be approved. This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R16-002 15-01094 A Resolution Authorizing the purchase of One (1) 2016 Wheeled Coach Ford F-450 type 1 ambulance. From, Fire Services, Inc., St. John, Indiana In the amount of $210,137.00 for the Aurora Fire Department. This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R16-003 15-01112 A Resolution Authorizing the Adoption of the 2015 Kane County Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R16-004 UNFINISHED BUSINESS 15-01123 A Resolution to approve the InterGovernmental Agreement to assign an Aurora Police Officer to the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group. A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderman Hart-Burns, that this agenda item be approved. The motion carried by the following vote. The motion carried by voice vote. Kyle and Carlise Welton addressed the Mayor and City Council Members regarding the non-profit they lead, We Inspire Nations.
