A motion was made by Alderman Garza , seconded by Alderman Franco, that minutes be approved and filed. The motion carried by voice vote. APPOINTMENT OF SERGEANT-AT-ARMS A motion was made by Alderman Franco , seconded by Alderman Garza, to appoint Officer Sullivan as Sergeant-at-Arms for this meeting. The motion carried by voice vote. PRESENTATIONS 18-0377 Presentation of the best unit award for the 4th of July Parade. Clifton Ross from Christ Evangelistic Temple spoke regarding their upcoming Block Party. Alderman Franco left the meeting at 6:17 P.M. and returned at 6:20 P.M. There were no further speakers present to address City Council. MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS 18-0610 A Resolution Appointing Raymond Hull to the Aurora Planning Commission. Enactment No: R18-169 18-0558 A Resolution to purchase two Bobcat Toolcats from Atlas Bobcat from the NJPA Contract #042815-CEC for the RT 59 Transit Center and Central Services in the amount of $125,212.00 . This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R18-170 18-0560 A Resolution Authorizing Execution of Labor Agreement between the City of Aurora and Local 461 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, AFL/CIO. This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R18-171 18-0561 A Resolution designating Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday as a paid holiday for City of Aurora employees . This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R18-172 18-0563 A Resolution to Award the contract for the Benton Avenue Water Main Replacement project to Copenhaver Construction, Inc., 75 Koppie Drive, Gilberts, IL 60136 in the amount of four hundred twenty-seven thousand, four hundred twenty-five dollars and zero cents ($427,425.00). This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R18-173 18-0565 A Resolution accepting the improvements and maintenance security for Aldi Store No. 52 - 2275 W. Galena Blvd. . This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R18-174 18-0566 A Resolution approval for Aurora Downtown to have a Music Festival as part of their 2018 Stolp Island Block Party Festival event to be held on Stolp Avenue (between Galena & Downer) on Friday, August 3rd, 2018 . This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R18-176 18-0593 A Resolution To Extend the Contract with Melrose Pyrotechnics for the Independence Day Fireworks Display for Special Events in the Amount of $40,000 for 2019 and 2020. This Resolution was approved.
