IN MEMORIAM - HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY OF AURORA'S STATESMAN BOB O'CONNOR Prior to the adjournment of the meeting, in Memoriam remarks were presented in honor of former Alderman-at-Large and 58th Mayor of Aurora, Robert J.O'Connor, who passed away on September 15, 2022. Mr. O'Connor served as an Alderman-at-Large in the City of Aurora from 1985 to 2021 and served as the 58th Mayor of Aurora from 2016 to 2017. Mayor Irvin, Alex Alexandrou and members of the City Council presented remarks in remembrance of "Bob" O'Connor who was one of Aurora's most dedicated public servants. "Bob" O'Connor was known as the statesman of Aurora who City of Aurora Page 10 City Council Meeting Minutes - Final September 27, 2022 will forever be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his beloved hometown. He will be greatly missed by all.
