ROLL CALL Members present: Christopher Bennett, Timothy Brown, Ginger Ingram, Renu Kanakamma, Andrea McMillian, Dawn D'Orazio, Curtis Wilson (7). Members absent: (0). OTHERS PRESENT Others present: Lt. Patrick Camardo, Aurora Police Department; Lt. Angel Nieves, Aurora Police Department. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 25-0045 Approval of the Minutes of the Thursday, November 21, 2024 , Civilian Review Board Meeting. Vice Chair Brown made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Member Bennett. The motion was carried by voice vote. 25-0047 Approval of the Minutes of the Monday, December 16, 2024, Civilian Review Board Special Meeting . Vice Chair Brown made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Member D'Orazio. The motion was carried by voice vote. PUBLIC COMMENT None. PRESENTATION / GUEST SPEAKER 25-0046 APD Presentation - Recruitment Lt. Patrick Camardo and Lt. Angel Nieves gave a PowerPoint presentation on Aurora Police Department Recruitment. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 24-0998 A Discussion of the Civilian Review Board (CRB)'S Objectives and City of Aurora Page 1 Civilian Review Board Meeting Minutes - Final January 16, 2025 Deliverables for Calendar Year 2025, in Accordance with the City of Aurora Ordinance Governing the Responsibilities of the CRB. Vice Chair Brown and Chair Wilson discussed an overview of the CRB Special Meeting that took place on December 16, 2024 and discussed plans to fulfill the Civilian Review Board general duties that are outlined in the ordinance. ANNOUNCEMENTS 25-0049 2025 Special Census Aurora's Special Census takes place on February 3, 2025. Business card-sized Census cards were passed out to CRB board members and the QR code on the card takes you to a website with useful information that is available for public use. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Member Bennett, seconded by Member D'Orazio to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried by voice vote.
