ROLL CALL Members present: Christopher Bennett, Ginger Ingram, Dawn D'Orazio, Curtis Wilson (4). Members absent: Timothy Brown, Renu Kanakamma, Andrea McMillian (3). OTHERS PRESENT Others present: Officer David Guevara, Aurora Police Department; Police Social Worker Bridget Damschen, Aurora Police Department. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 25-0304 Approval of the Minutes of the Thursday, March 20, 2025 Civilian Review Board Meeting. Member Bennett made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Member D'Orazio. The motion was carried by voice vote. PUBLIC COMMENT None. PRESENTATION / GUEST SPEAKER 25-0305 Crisis Intervention Unit (CIU) Presentation Officer David Guevara and Police Social Worker Bridget Damschen gave a presentation and gave board members a resource informational handout. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 25-0160 A review of Aurora Police Department policies in accordance with the CRB ordinance for the CRB to provide written recommendations to the department. Member D'Orazio made a motion to postpone this agenda item for a future meeting, seconded by Member Ingram. The motion was carried by a roll vote as follows: Ayes: 3 - Ginger Ingram, Dawn D'Orazio, Curtis Wilson. ANNOUNCEMENTS Member Ingram informed the board about two events happening this weekend: - Alderman Brandon Tolliver is hosting an event on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at MLK Park from 1-3pm. - Alderwoman Juany-Garza is hosting an event on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Member D'Orazio informed the board about a free event happening at the Paramount Theatre School of the Arts at Paramount Theatre on May 5, 2025. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Member D'Orazio, seconded by Member Bennett to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried by voice vote.
