(PLACED ON CONSENT AGENDA) REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE TO THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE The Finance Committee Met On Tuesday, May 12, 2015 and Reviewed the Following Items: 15-00342 A Resolution Authorizing Application for Grand Victoria Riverboat Funds for Construction of an Aurora Veterans Memorial at Phillips Park, and Execution of All Necessary Documents . John Russell, Grant Writer for the City of Aurora, and Joe Toma, Chairman of the Aurora Veterans Advisory Council spoke briefly on this item. (PLACED ON CONSENT AGENDA) 15-00373 A Resolution Seeking Authorization to apply for the Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund grant in the amount of $23,838 to purchase display/storage equipment for the new GAR Memorial Museum Research and Visible Storage Center, and Execution of All Necessary Documents. (PLACED ON CONSENT AGENDA) City of Aurora Page 4 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes - Final May 19, 2015 MAYOR’S REPORT The Mayor invited all of the Aldermen as well as anyone in attendance at the Committee of the Whole Meeting, to the reception for Joe and Helen Rippenger, the 2015 Memorial Day Grand Marshalls, taking place immediately following the meeting at the David L. Pierce Art and History Center. CLOSED SESSION A motion was made by Alderman Hart-Burns moved, seconded by Alderman O'Connor, that at the close of this meeting, the City Council go into a Closed Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act. The motion carried by a voice vote.
