(PLACED ON CONSENT AGENDA) Enactment No: R15-266 15-00771 An Ordinance providing for the issuance of $69,185,000 aggregate principal amount of General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2015-C, of the City of Aurora, Kane, DuPage, Kendall and Will Counties, Illinois, confirming the sale thereof, and providing for the levy and collection of a direct annual tax for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds . City of Aurora Page 2 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes - Final September 15, 2015 Brian Caputo spoke briefly regarding the request to sell the existing bonds and issue new bonds. There is an expected savings of approximately 10% over the course of the repayment schedule. The final amount of refinancing will be known at the City Council Meeting scheduled for September 22, 2015. For this reason it is being recommended that this item be placed on the "Unfinished Business" portion of the agenda to provide an update to the City Council. Ken Schroth spoke briefly on this item. The City of Aurora and DuPage County released an RFP for a joint bid for traffic light maintenance. The bid results were $34/per month less than other like municipalities.
