Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Garza called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. Alderwoman Smith requested permission to participate remotely per section 2-80 based on a reasonable anticipation of an extended illness. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Alderman Llamas. The motion carried. ROLL CALL Alderwoman Smith was present via audio conference. Present: 5 - Chairperson Juany Garza, Vice Chair Ted Mesiacos, Alderwoman Shweta Baid, Alderman Emmanuel Llamas and Alderwoman Patty Smith APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-0020 Approval of the minutes from the Infrastructure and Technology Committee meeting held on January 9, 2023 . A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderwoman Baid, that the minutes be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT City of Aurora Page 1 Infrastructure and Technology Meeting Minutes - Final January 23, 2023 Committee AGENDA 22-0777 A Resolution authorizing a professional engineering services agreement with CDM Smith, Inc., to conduct a Corrosion Control Treatment Optimization Study for the Water Production Division in an amount not to exceed of $1,168 ,390.00 Robert Leible, Water Production - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions on this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderwoman Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0015 A Resolution authorizing the purchase of replacement and additional vehicles for the City of Aurora Fleet from National Auto Fleet Group, through Sourcewell, for $169,717.92. Derrick Winston, Public Facilities - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions on this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Alderwoman Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0034 A Resolution authorizing the execution of permits with the State of Illinois for maintenance and construction on State highways . Eric Schoeny, Water & Sewer Maintenance - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions on this item. A motion was made by Alderman Llamas, seconded by Alderwoman Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0046 A Resolution authorizing the Director of Purchasing to enter into a professional services agreement with Associated Technical Services , LTD, Villa Park, IL for water main leak detection services in the amount of $362,461.37. John Hoffman, Engineering & Eric Schoeny, Water & Sewer Maintenance - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions on this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderwoman Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried.
