Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Hart-Burns called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Scheketa Hart-Burns, Vice Chair Bill Donnell, Alderwoman Juany Garza, Alderman Ted Mesiacos and Alderman Mike Saville APPROVAL OF MINUTES 21-0590 Approval of the minutes from the Public Health, Safety, and Transportation Committee meeting held on July 27, 2021 . A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that these minutes be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Public Health, Safety, and Meeting Minutes - Final August 10, 2021 Transportation Committee 21-0600 A Resolution establishing the maximum number of Class C: Specialty On-Site Consumption liquor licenses (unofficially related to the application from Smash Factor Indoor Golf, LLC d/b/a Smash Factor Indoor Golf at 367 S Rte 59, Aurora). [Ward 10] A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Alderman Mesiacos, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0607 A Resolution authorizing Annual Action Plan Substantial Amendment 2021-#2 to reallocate prior year resources and current year resources in response to the Corona Virus pandemic and other eligible activities . A motion was made by Vice Chair Donnell, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0578 A Resolution authorizing the execution of a memorandum of understanding between the City of Aurora, Kane County and the City of Elgin; the participation in the 2021 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program; and the use of the City of Aurora's portion toward the Aurora Police Department equipment purchase . A motion was made by Alderman Mesiacos, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0563 A Resolution Authorizing Full Circle Training Solutions of Morgantown, West Virginia to Provide Training to the Police Department for Compliance with Federal and State Police Reporting Requirements . This Resolution was discussed 21-0569 Charitable Solicitation Application for Boy Scouts of America Troop 81-Ticket Sales for Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser From September 11, 2021 thru October 31, 2021. This Information/Discussion Only was forwarded as information only CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Alderman Mesiacos, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Hart-Burns adjourned the meeting at 4:34 pm.
