ROLL CALL Alderman Bugg joined the meeting at 3:11 PM. Present: 5 - Chairperson Carl Franco, Vice Chair Emmanuel Llamas, Alderman Edward Bugg, Alderman Bill Donnell and Alderman Patty Smith OTHERS PRESENT Steve Lord City of Aurora: Alex Voigt, Mayor's Office; Rick Veenstra, Legal Dept.; Connie Krug, Aldermen's Office PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA 19-0446 An Ordinance amending Chapter 2, Article III, Division 6, Section 2-285, and Section 2-286(c)(3) of the Code of the City of Aurora pertaining to the duties of the Corporation Counsel and the Law Department . A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Llamas, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 City of Aurora Page 1 Rules, Administration, and Meeting Minutes - Final June 18, 2019 Procedure 19-0496 An Ordinance amending Chapter 6 - ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR, Section 6-13 of the City of Aurora Code of Ordinances Entitled "Allowed Areas." A motion was made by Vice Chair Llamas, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval as amended. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 19-0498 An Ordinance amending Chapter 8 of the City of Aurora Code of Ordinances Entitled "Video Gaming." . A motion was made by Alderman Bugg, seconded by Vice Chair Llamas, that this agenda item be recommended for approval as amended. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 19-0504 A Resolution defining the settlement authority of the Corporation Counsel with respect to civil actions and claims made against the City and its officers and employees . A motion was made by Vice Chair Llamas, seconded by Alderman Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 19-0507 Discussion of the recently adopted Ch. 2, Article II Div. 5 Sec. 2-125 entitled "Standing and special committee operating procedures" sub-paragraph (e) of the Municipal Code of Ordinances - Alderman Carl Franco A motion was made by Alderman Donnell, seconded by Alderman Bugg, that this agenda item be held. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Alderman Bugg, seconded by Vice Chair Llamas, that the meeting be adjourned. Chairperson Franco adjoured the meeting at 3:59 PM.
