CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Woerman called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Ron Woerman, Vice Chair Carl Franco, Alderman Edward Bugg, Alderman Dan Barreiro and Alderwoman Patty Smith APPROVAL OF MINUTES 24-0916 Approval of the minutes from the Rules, Administration, and Procedure Committee meeting held on November 19, 2024. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Franco, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Rules, Administration, and Meeting Minutes - Final December 17, 2024 Procedure 24-0966 A Resolution reappointing two members: Nina Arme Rosa and Aaron Lechuga for a three-year term and appointing six new members Curtis Wilson, Robert De Maria, Francis Lopez, Ashley Dingle, Ginaly Rocha and Elizabeth Rupp to the Music, Events and Entertainment Commission (MEE). A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0974 A Resolution appointing six members to the "Sister Cities Commission" (SCC). Alex Voigt, Deputy Chief of Staff - Mayors Office and Martha Paschke, Director of Innovation & Strategy - City of Aurora presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 a 24-0985 A Resolution authorizing the appointment of Richard Todas to the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Commission . A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0986 A Resolution approving the reappointments of David Tellner, Michael Carrasco and Joshua Pfeuffer to the Aurora Veteran's Advisory Board. A motion was made by Vice Chair Franco, seconded by Alderwoman Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0994 Discussion of the Aldermanic Initiative Funds Ordinance . Cristal Colon, Alderman's Office - Office Supervisor answered questions regarding this item. This Information/Discussion Only was discussed CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Franco, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried.
