New Business Review of Draft Climate Action Plan: The Task Force met to provide initial feedback on the first draft of the climate action plan written by Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission. Discussion notes below: ● The task force suggested people and stakeholder groups to add to the acknowledgements section ● Bev would like another picture to represent the climate task force on page 7, as the current one only includes a few members ● The task force suggested replacing random quotes in the plan with local or state sources ● The community engagement timeline on page 16 is missing years of events ● The task force thinks the Equitable Action section should pull information from the vulnerability assessment ● There was a brief conversation on the brevity of the plan, and whether more detail is needed to provide future staff adequate guidance for implementation: ○ Rewriting the plan would alter the projected timeline; the task force will not entertain specific revisions SMPDC requested all feedback by Wednesday September 27th. A joint City Council/Planning Board workshop is scheduled for October 10th. A public hearing will be held after, with a tentative date of November 20th. Meeting adjourned at 8:23 pm 2
