NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING & COMMENT PERIOD U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant For The Expansion of the Alternatives Pathways Program/Teen Center To The Second Floor of 73 Bacon Street Please be advised that a Public Hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 11th, 2018, at 5:30 PM, in the 2nd Floor Conference Room, City Hall at 205 Main Street, Biddeford, for the purpose of obtaining input from citizens regarding the expansion of the Alternative Pathways Program/Teen Center to the second floor of 73 Bacon Street. The second floor of 73 Bacon Street was originally proposed to create 2 affordable housing units. The success of the Alternative Pathways Program has caused the need for additional space, as well as space for a potential satellite teen center for downtown. One of the proposed units for 73 Bacon Street will be created on the first floor of 46 Sullivan and any services moved to 73 Bacon Street. This Public Hearing is being held pursuant to the City of Biddeford’s participation in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant Program. Please be advised that a public 30-day comment period will begin on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 through, Thursday, January 10th, 2019 regarding this proposed change. These actions are in accordance with the City’s Citizens Participation Plan. Comments may be verbal or written. Written comments can be submitted to Linda Waters, Community Development Coordinator, City of Biddeford, 205 Main Street, Biddeford, Maine 04005. Verbal comments may be called in at 207-284-9105. Comments will be received until 5:00 PM on Thursday, January 10th, 2019.
