This year, 815 veterans will be honored, and volunteers are needed on December 13 at 9:00 a.m. to place the wreaths, as well as later to help remove them. A Marine veteran himself, Brian hopes the event inspires patriotism and noted that volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year. 4. The event, held over Presidents’ Day weekend, draws about 30,000 visitors. Three planning meetings are scheduled, with themes like space, time travel, engineering, and aviation. The rooms will be tested at a fifth-grade level and adjusted as needed. Tiffany hopes to know who wants to participate by Dec. 1. She also highlighted upcoming library events, including a read-in, an author talk, and a book club. 5. Meet in committee groups Civic engagement: For their winter drive, the group is actively reaching out to the local community to raise awareness and support. This includes contacting nearby businesses to ask if they can display posters promoting the drive, place donation boxes in their stores, and potentially sponsor or contribute to the event. Community Outreach: The team is finalizing the small details for a holiday-themed event before the Glow on Monroe. They are planning a variety of games, setting up hot cocoa stations, and ensuring every element is ready to create a festive and enjoyable experience. 6.
