APPROVED Staff Liaison: Ron Moll, City Engineer June 16, 2026 Regular Council Meeting Legal Actions *4.L Council to take action on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Buckeye and the Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce relating to economic development services; authorizing the City Manager to execute and deliver said MOU on behalf of the City of Buckeye; and authorizing a budget transfer of $20,000 from the General Fund Contingency to Economic Development. APPROVED Staff Liaison: Keith Fallstrom, Chief Financial Officer *4.O Council to take action on Ordinance No. 05-26 adopting the establishment and levy of an annual assessment by the governing body of the Street Lighting Improvement Districts (SLIDs) set forth in said Ordinance for fiscal year 2027, beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027, upon each property within the District, a certain sum sufficient to raise the amounts estimated to be required in the annual budget. APPROVED Staff Liaison: Larry Price, Special Districts Manager *4.P Council to take action on Ordinance No. 14-26 levying upon the assessed valuation of the property within the City of Buckeye, subject to primary and secondary taxation a certain sum upon each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of valuation sufficient to raise the amounts estimated to be required in the annual budget for the purpose of paying for various expenses; to raise the amount estimated to be received from other sources of revenues; providing funds for various bond redemptions, for the purpose of paying principal and interest upon bonded indebtedness; all for fiscal year ending the 30th day of June, 2027; and directing the City Clerk to record a copy of this Ordinance. APPROVED Staff Liaison: Keith Fallstrom, Chief Financial Officer June 16, 2026 Regular Council Meeting Legal Actions *4.S Council to take action on Resolution No. 55-26 approving the 2026 Library Services Technology Act (LSTA) Subgrant Award through the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, a Division of the Arizona Secretary of State; and authorizing the City Manager to accept said Subgrant Award on behalf of the City of Buckeye. APPROVED Staff Liaison: Rob Roach, Grant Program and Procurement Manager *4.T Council to take action to ratify and approve the submission of a grant application under the “BJA FY25 Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use, Site- Based Program” grant opportunity to the Bureau of Justice Assistance through the United States Department of Justice, with a grant request in the amount of $1,300,000 and a non-required $435,705 match from the City of Buckeye, with total project cost of $1,735,705 over a period of 36 months; and authorize and direct the Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk to take all steps necessary to cause the execution and delivery, and carry out the purpose and intent of, said grant application. APPROVED Staff Liaison: Rob Roach, Grant Program and Procurement Manager *4.V Council to take action to ratify and approve the submission of a $20,178,000 grant application under the “Fiscal Year 2026 Safe Streets and Roads for All Funding - Implementation” grant opportunity to the U.S. Department of Transportation, with a request of $16,142,400 from the U.S. Department of Transportation and a required $4,035,600 match from the City of Buckeye; and to authorize and direct the Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk to take all steps necessary to cause the execution and delivery, and carry out the purpose and intent, of said application.
