June 2, 2021
Committee members present:

Meeting called to order at 5:00 pm
1. Motion to approve the agenda by Councilor Carpenter
Seconded by Councilor Dieng
Unanimous approval
1. Public Forum
President Tracy oriented the committee and public on the committee process and procedure, and clarified that the
committee would not be conducting interviews at this meeting. He explained that the purpose of the meeting was for the
committee to determine which candidates to advance to the slate and which candidates to interview at the next meeting.
President Tracy explained that the committee operates using consensus and the whole committee must agree to advance a
candidate.
Sarah Beal spoke on public forum to say she is interested in serving on the Church Street Marketplace Commission, and
she may not be available to do an interview at the committee’s next meeting.
AJ LaRosa spoke on public forum and shared that he is interested in continuing to serve on the Development Review Board.
1. Communications: List of Applicants and Worksheet
Committee needs clarification on whether it can appoint someone to the recently vacated Police Commission seat even
though it has not yet been advertised.
