AGENDA:
1. Announcements and updates (10 min)
2. CDNR - Block Party Designation updates (15 min)
The council met with the CDNR to discuss our Block Party Designation proposal, we
will present what we learned and make a plan for going back in April.
3. Bike ordinance retrospective (15 min)
A decision was made by the Public Works Commission on bicycle ordinances. The
council will share some thoughts on it and discuss some future pathways.
4. Department of Public Works updates (45 min)
Updates on planBTV 2050, the Main Street scoping study, and the VT 127 shared use
path.
Previous Meeting – At our March 4th meeting, we discussed the Bicycle Friendly Community award,
our bicycling network, and what we learned from our meeting with South Burlington.
Next Month: BWBC meets Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
The BWBC is an all-volunteer advisory council to the City of Burlington. We work closely with and advise the Department of
Public Works and the Department of Parks, Recreation, & Waterfront on infrastructure improvements and policy changes for
walking and bicycling. The council also leads advocacy efforts and organizes events and activities that promote and
