February 19, 2025 - Green Team Meeting Meeting called to order 12:01pm – Quorum established Motion to adopt January minutes – Linda moved, Shawn seconded In attendance – Quenton King, Robin Sylvester Via Zoom – Patti Hamilton, Nancy Brun, Shawn Phillips, Sam Nygaard, Linda Frame, Rowan Zoeller NEW BUSINESS 1. None COMMITTEE REPORTS 1. What To Do With Stuff – the FB posts are going well. 2. Communications – met Feb. 12th, Need materials for EDay, 1 pager from City, reusable biodegradable bags, QR code for recycling sticker, 1 pager re: Strategic Plan. Possibly make a “What’s your Green Dream” board. Robin has contacted T-Graphics regarding these items. Regular posting on FB going well. Boost awareness for May with biking & walking month. Got the form from Jessica to submit quotes. Emmett asked Quenton if we were doing something for Earth Day. 3. PODA – See below 4. “Green Drinks” for environmental happy hours – Wednesday, March 5th 5:30pm at Fife Street Brewing. Manager will discuss the PODA cups. Quenton will check to see if we can share on GT page. UPDATES 1. City Council Environment & Recycling – Brent Burton – absent 2. Charleston Dept. of Public Works – Brent Webster – absent 3. Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant – this is being folded into anther grant and due in approximately 2 weeks to plan & assess the City efficiency. ANNOUNCEMENTS 1. Survey hosted by WV Dept of Economic Development / outdoor recreation needs. Take the survey and share it with friends and family.
