Friday, October 3, 2014 9:30 AM City Council Conference Rm 225 SPECIAL MEETING NO. 2 OF COLUMBUS CITY COUNCIL, FRIDAY OCTOBER 3, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. IN CITY COUNCIL CONFERENCE RM. 225 ROLL CALL Present: 6 - Hearcel Craig, Zachary Klein, Michelle Mills, Eileen Paley, Priscilla Tyson, and Andrew Ginther READING AND DISPOSAL OF THE JOURNAL A motion was made by Craig, seconded by Paley, to Dispense with the reading of the Journal and Approve. The motion carried by the following vote: Affirmative: 6- Hearcel Craig, Zachary Klein, Michelle Mills, Eileen Paley, Priscilla Tyson, and Andrew Ginther President Ginther stated that as provided for in Columbus City Charter Section 8 and Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G), Council will go into Executive Session to consider the appointment of an applicant to the current vacancy on this Council. No vote or formal action of any kind shall take place during Executive Session. EXECUTIVE SESSION TO CONSIDER THE APPOINTMENT OF AN APPLICANT TO THE CURRENT VACANCY ON COUNCIL A MOTION WAS MADE BY COUNCILMEMBER CRAIG, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER TYSON TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE APPOINTMENT OF AN APPLICANT TO THE VACANCY ON THIS COUNCIL. THE MOTION CARRIED THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AFFIRMATIVE: 6 NEGATIVE: 0 (President Ginther asked those present that were not Members of Council or the City Clerk to please excuse themselves from the Conference Room.)
