Request to approve the meeting summaries of December 4, 2024 Regular Meeting and
December 18, 2024 Special Meeting.

2. 2025-2026 School Year Calendar (Rita Weaver)
Request to approve the 2025-2026 school year calendar. The proposed school year calendar
is the same as Broward County Public Schools.

Policy Formation and Direction: None.
Principal Communications
Principal Jodi Robins provided a school update, reviewing assessments and proficiency levels for
students in math, science, and social studies and highlighting sports and upcoming events. Rita Weaver
also provided input. Discussion ensued.
3. Government Academy Update (Rita Weaver)
Request to accept the Government Academy update.
(REQUEST TO ACCEPT)
Rita Weaver provided a Government Academy update, discussing college and career
readiness and public service opportunities for students. Discussion ensued.
Motion: To accept the Government Academy update.
Result: Passed (Unanimously)

Board Communications
Principal Robins addressed questions of the Board, noting that the Coral Springs Charter School
application window had closed on January 30 and enrollment is still in progress. Sibling preference for
existing students was discussed. Ms. Robins also highlighted Black History Month activities and
announced that graduation will be held May 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Florida Atlantic University.
