MINUTES CITY OF DEKALB DeKalb Firefighters Pension Fund November 16, 2018 The Board of Trustees of the DeKalb Firefighters Pension Fund held a Special Meeting on November 16, 2018 in the Ellwood Conference Room at 200 S. Fourth Street, DeKalb, Illinois. Pat Eriksen, President of the Board called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m. A. ROLL CALL President Pat Eriksen called the roll and the following members of the DeKalb Firefighters Pension Fund were present: Pat Eriksen, Chris Ziola, Eric Hicks, and Ray Krueger. Members absent at roll call were: Bill Kalal. Also present was Recording Secretary and Staff Liaison Traci Lemay. B. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA – ADDITIONS / DELETIONS A Motion was made by Ray Krueger to approve the Agenda. Said Motion was seconded by Chris Ziola and unanimously approved by the Board by roll call. C. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION None D. NEW BUSINESS Request for Benefits A Motion was made by Chris Ziola to approve the retirement benefits for Fire Chief Eric Hicks for a retirement effective on November 30, 2018. Last day of active employment will be November 29, 2018. Hire date was January 9, 1989. The approved annual retirement benefit is $108,148.36. Said Motion was seconded by Ray Krueger and approved by the Board by roll call with Eric Hicks abstaining from the vote. A Motion was made by Ray Krueger to approve the retirement benefits for Firefighter/Paramedic Tim Stiker for a retirement effective on January 4, 2019. Last day of active employment will be January 3, 2019. Hire date was November 7, 1996. The approved annual retirement benefit is $52,119.74.
