MINUTES CITY OF DEKALB DeKalb Police Pension Fund April 15, 2016 @ 10:00 am The DeKalb Police Pension Fund held a Meeting on April 15, 2016 at the DeKalb Police Department, 700 W. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, IL President Jim Kayes called the meeting to order at 10:11 am A. ROLL CALL Secretary Tracy Smith called the roll and the following members of the DeKalb Police Pension Fund were present: Jim Kayes, Paul Mott and Tracy Smith. Members absent at roll call were: Cathy Haley NOTE: 2nd City appointee not present  Also present were: Dave Wall of Wall & Associates B. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA – ADDITIONS / DELETIONS  Agenda approved on voice vote by President Kayes. 3 ayes. Cathy Haley absent. C. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION  None D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES  Minutes from the DeKalb Police Pension Fund Meeting on January 28, 2016 by voice vote from President Kayes. 3 ayes. Cathy Haley absent. E. OLD BUSINESS  Cathy Haley graduated 32 hours Certified Trustee Course on 11/05/15.  Pension Board Election Results o Retired Member Election. Jim Kayes with 26 votes. No other candidates submitted. Votes counted by Paul Mott and verified by Tracy Smith o Active Member Election. Tracy Smith with 25 votes, Mike Stewart with 1 vote, Mario Nonnenmann with 11 votes. TREASURES REPORT  Dave Wall provided quarterly report on fund performance ending March 31, 2016. Wall advised that the fund is well within out investment policy and state guidelines. G. NEW BUSINESS  Bills for Payment o Motion by Tracy Smith to pay bills listed on agenda of April 15, 2016. Second by Paul Mott. Roll call vote by President Kayes. Yes votes from Tracy Smith, Paul Mott and Mark Leach. Cathy Haley absent. President Kayes declared the motion passed.  Application for Membership o Application for pension membership for Josef Gordon Date of Hire: 2/1/16. o Application for pension membership for Charles Verdone Date of Hire: 4/1/16.  Motion to approve by Paul Mott, Second by Tracy Smith. President Kayes called for a voice vote. 3 ayes. Cathy Haley absent. President Kayes declared motion passed. H. REQUEST FOR BENEFITS  Request for pension benefits for Lisa Holiday who retired on March 12, 2016. o Motion made by Tracy Smith to approve pension benefits for Lisa Miller. Second my Paul Mott. Roll call vote by President Kayes. Yes votes from Tracy Smith, Paul Mott and Jim Kayes. Cathy Haley absent. President Kayes declared the motion passed.  Motion to approve Curt Biarnesen QILDRO and Calculation order  Motion to approve Gene Lowery Chapter 3 transfer of two years, one month and 27 days at Crystal Lake PD. Changes Date of Hire to 4/2/2010 effective 1/31/2016.
