Reports and Presentations Unfinished Business Planting projects Spring 2026 Park Meadows was completed. 6 trees Sang Avenue Detention Pond and road extension — The plans have been submitted to the subcontractor for a price. 107 Trees Cottages at Old Wire Plans are complete and submitted to the subcontractor for a price. 20 Trees Ozark Chinquapin Chestnut Pilot. We found four locations and will be planting the seeds soon, within the next month. Covington Park — Plans are done, we are waiting to hear from residents to confirm they want the trees before we plant. 63 trees Cobblestone — new project to replace red maple street trees that are dead. Fall Project Broyles Tree Replacement. Fall Project EAB - Most of the parks are done and ready. I have four parks left to do and they will be time consuming. City of Fayetteville, Arkansas Page 2 Urban Forestry Advisory Board April 1, 2026 New Business Announcements On Going Outreach Projects and projects that are complete. Invasive Bounty — Entries are all in. Pictures are sent to judges. Prizes have been received for the photo contest. Bounty Plants have been ordered. Dates for pick-up are going to be April 7, 8, 9. We have 51 participants. Amazing Tree voting is done. The post oak at Wilson Park won, and we have ordered the plaque and scheduled the stand to be built. We are planning a small ceremony and plaque unveiling on Monday, April 20th at 4pm. 235 votes. I want to move the project to summer next year so we can have folks go visit the trees during the summer. We need nominations for next year and we need to no repeat the same trees as we have before. Hiking with the Forester, this weekend at Lake Fayetteville. Dogwoods 10 am to noon. Earth Week— Tree giveaway, trees ordered, The Amazing Tree plaque unveiling is on Monday. Talking to the trees is set up. Panels for documentaries are set up on Tuesday and Thursday. A panel on Wednesday is being set up. Friday is announcing winners for the photo contest from Invasive Bounty. Those are my portions of the event.
