Discussion Items 1. Food Truck Event and Sites (Grandville or Division) The board discussed finding a potential location on Grandville or Division and inviting food truck partners. A good location for South Division could be Burton and Division parking lot (Robbins Lock). The CIA will have to commit $20,000 to the project. 2. Loan Fund for Businesses in the Division/Grandville Corridors Commissioner Kurt introduced the Small Business Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) from the city. Loans up to $25,000 will be awarded to small businesses in the Neighborhoods of Focus for eligible business activities. It will be available within the month. 3. Gateway Project The board discussed connecting with other Corridor Improvement Authorities to establish gateway projects. Carlos Calderon is a partner in this project. Other Business Commissioner Kurt discussed the MEDC Revitalization and Place making (RAP) program. Up to $5 million in grant will be awarded for infrastructural developments to address COVID -19 impact in communities. The Commissioner noted The Right Place is working on a regional application which will include 20 projects for a total of $20 million in grants. 4 star and 1101 Godfrey (affordable housing project) is in their proposal.
