Business Association Funding Request-Burton Heights Business Association Ms. Brower asked Angel Cruz to highlight the past year’s report. BHBA is making a more robust Business database. Social Media metrics also continue to increase. Motion to approve the Business Association Funding Request for $8,000. Committee Reports The Design & Development Committee is working on safety measures for a walkable community. A DTE representative came to a meeting and is very interested in development and infrastructure involvement. Construction Noticing is not being done properly for business and residents by the City and Utility companies. BHBA banners are not lasting very long, they will talk to the vendor regarding material used. The last 10 trashcans have been installed fully depleting the grant. VI. Other Business Verah Narh Kamara mentioned the CIA Roundtable is coming soon and asked what topics should be featured. Due to noise issues, a new meeting location will be worked out. Frances Dalton asked about expanding the CIA boundaries to include the Factory Yards project, but because it will be a Brownfield project first, there is no possibility for CIA tax capture. Ms. Dalton would also like the committee process document on the next agenda. An MSU school supplies event, including free haircuts, is this Saturday starting at 10am at Garfield Park. VII.
