MINUTES GREEN BAY ANNEXATION COMMISSION Monday, June 10, 2002 City Council Chambers Room 205, City Hall 10:00 a.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Paul Jadin, Carl Weber, Ron Antonneau, and Bill Lockery. MEMBERS EXCUSED: Gary Sikich and Susan Schober-Murray OTHERS PRESENT: Tim Kelley, Rob Strong, Allison Swanson, Peter Thillman, Marv Rentmeester, Norman Peters, Dolores Peters, Gerald Peters, and others. The meeting was called to order at 10:04 a.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes from the February 25, 2002, meeting of the Green Bay Annexation Commission were reviewed. A motion was made by P. Jadin, seconded by C. Weber, to approve the minutes from the February 25, 2002, Annexation Commission meeting. Motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: 1. 1. Annual election of Officers: President, Vice-President, and Secretary, per Chapter 1.53(2)(b). A motion was made by P. Jadin, seconded by C. Weber, to elect Gary Sikich as President. Motion carried unanimously. A motion was made by P. Jadin, seconded by C. Weber, to elect Ron Antonneau as Vice-President. Motion carried unanimously. A motion was made by P. Jadin, seconded by C. Weber, to elect Bill Lockery as Secretary. Motion carried unanimously. 2. 2. Public hearing on the petition of property owners for direct annexation of certain territory from the Town of Scott to the City of Green Bay, dated May 10, 2002, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes, 66.0217. R. Antonneau opened the public hearing. B. Lockery presented the report and supporting map information. The subject properties are approximately 47 acres in size and are located east of the Hwy 54/57 interchange on Hwy 54. B. Lockery explained the process the petition was going through and stated that the Plan Commission will be reviewing the long-range planning for the subject property. He stated that the Planning staff's recommendation is to approve the petition. P. Jadin stated his support of the annexation petition. The petitioners were present but did not come forward to speak. R. Antonneau closed the public hearing. 3. 3. Discussion and action of the petition of property owners for direct annexation of certain territory from the Town of Scott to the City of Green Bay, dated May 10, 2002, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes, 66.0217. A motion was made by P. Jadin, seconded by C. Weber, to approve the petition of property owners for direct annexation of certain territory from the Town of Scott to the City of Green Bay, dated May 10, 2002, and to forward a resolution to the City Council. Motion carried unanimously. A motion was made by C. Weber, seconded by B. Lockery, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
