APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Trustee Arnet, seconded by Trustee Mills, to approve the General Administration & Personnel Committee meeting minutes of August 5, 2024. Voice vote taken. All ayes. Motion carried. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT 4. OLD BUSINESS 5. NEW BUSINESS 6. REPORTS (INFORMATION ONLY) A. Cable TV Monthly Report The Cable TV Monthly Report was received and filed. Legislative Operations and Outreach Monthly Report. The Legislative Operations and Outreach Monthly Report was received and filed. 7. PRESIDENT’S REPORT Mayor McLeod reported that he toured the new Thomas Jefferson Middle School, and attended NWMC Executive Board meeting, as well as an Economic Development meeting. On Friday, Mayor attended the opening of the Platzkonzert which was well attended, and on Sunday he went to a block party on Sturbridge. 8. OTHER 9. ITEMS IN REVIEW 10. Date for 2025 has been sent for July 23rd. Approximately $31,000 net proceeds will be provided to HHS Self-Help Fund from the 2024 event. August 3 – Pack the Bus Event attended by Mayor and Trustees (Schaumburg Target with D54) August 5 – American250 Taping (Coordinated with Mayor and Cable TV Services to tape and share a short message on behalf of the US Conference of Mayors. Scheduled Board dinner. August 6 – Celtic Fest Meeting (final meeting before event) August 8 – Scheduled a dispensary discovery meeting (old Denny’s location) August 10 – scheduled Lynn Richardson wake (Mayor attended) and attended the Celtic Fest at the Hideaway Brew Garden. August 14 – attended Brookdale Open House with Mayor, Board and staff. August 15 – Mayor attended and read proclamation for CAC’s Birthday Celebration. August 16 – coordinated proclamations for Saran Singh Eagle Court of Honor and FIA celebrations. August 18 – Beth Tikvah picnic was attended by Mayor and several trustees. August 19th – Coordinated officer swearing-in, attended meetings and coordinated Trustee Stanton’s birthday dinner. August 21 – assisted with Senior Luncheon and organized/attended Wine Wednesday at the Hideaway. (Approximately 60 people in attendance.) Lions Club made a donation to HHS / Self-Help Fund. August 26 – Coordinated Bench Dedication ceremony for Trustee Gaeta. Approximately 50 people attended. August 28 – Taste of Thai liquor license interview August 30 – worked with Economic Development team to organize meet and greet/tour with Illinois Realtors Association and visitors from Poland.
