ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. Present John Simpson Jr, Tom Grotovsky, Deborah Filotto, Donna Franks-Tapley and Ron Romero Absent Peg (Marguerite) Stoiber, Deborah Summers, Debra Volling and Julia Russotti APPROVAL OF MINUTES Attachments: Meeting Minutes_Arts Commission_06.18.2025.pdf A motion was made by John Simpson, Jr, seconded by Ron Romero, to approve COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-8899: Arts Commission Meeting Minutes - June 18, 2025. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Simpson Jr, Filotto, Franks-Tapley and Romero Absent: Stoiber, Summers, Volling and Russotti Abstain: Grotovsky CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. OLD BUSINESS Commissioner Simpson asked if the Commission could get an update on the City Square Sculpture project. Staff Liaison Heitner provided an overview of the project to date, stating that the award of contract would likely go to the City Council for final action within the next month. NEW BUSINESS Attachments: IAC General Operating Support Grant Memo for 2026.docx Due to limitations on time, a motion was made by Commissioner Romero, which was seconded by Commissioner Simpson Jr., to table the discussion on Future Grant Opportunities to the next meeting. The motion carried by a vote of 5-0.
