1. ROLL CALL
Present Deborah Summers, Eric Gorder, Peg (Marguerite) Stoiber and
Quinn Adamowski
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Attachments: June 15 2022 meeting minutes for approval
A motion was made by Stoiber, seconded by Gorder, that the July 20, 2022
meeting minutes be approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.
3. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS
None.

question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. The
City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the

4. NEW BUSINESS

5. OLD BUSINESS
a. Discussion: Conditions and Plan for Existing Sculptures and Mosaics
D. DiBartolo continues to track to condition of the sculptures and their pedestals
Committee members reported on specific assigned murals with regards to
-their placement in the community,
-the condition surrounding the sculptures and their potential for damage,
-the surrounding landscape,
-and their potential for movement
Quinn Adamowski will compile a list of those sculptures to be considered for movement. He committee
will ask for a second opinion on this list.
Committee members will send their list of sculptures with landscape issues to Q. Adamowski for
discussion.
b. Discussion: Development of a Public Art Policy
What is our vision for Joliet artistically?
Committee members will bring to the next meeting their ideas on what creative ventures might be
possible in Joliet.
Also, using the Arts Policies from Elgin and Aurora, the committee will begin to list out items that make
sense for our community.
Peg Stoiber will contact the city of Covington, Ohio for additional input on their arts policy.
