Under Phase 5, all sectors of the economy can resume at regular capacity with new safety guidelines and procedures. Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any individual appearing in-person who is not fully vaccinated wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL Present Chairperson Lori Carmine, Lauren Las and John Simpson Jr Absent Jennifer Moore APPROVAL OF MINUTES None at this time. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. WHERE ARE WE Logo Contest The guidelines for the logo contest are ready to be presented to the Commission for a vote of approval or changes. City Web Page Arts and culture page is active but the committee would like to see additional contributions from others. Featured Artist Page The committee discussed having multiple featured artists at one time from several genres . Community Art Events Discussed sharing the information across multiple sites for best promotion of the arts. NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION The subcommittee discussed additional promotional items for promotion of the arts. PUBLIC COMMENT None. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Las, seconded by Simpson, Jr, that the July 21, 2021 meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously.
