ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order at 4:13 P.M. Commissioners Carmine and Wheeler were present. Commissioner Simpson was absent. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Attachments: 1641_M_Arts_Commission_-_Arts_Innovation_Subcommitte e_22-07-20_Meeting_Minutes No action was taken on the July 20, 2022 minutes, due to a lack of attendees present from said meeting. 3. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak. 4. NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION None. 5. OLD BUSINESS A. Logo Contest The Committee agreed to table discussion on the logo contest until the City has evaluated its branding through the Comprehensive Plan process. B. Web Pages I. Call for Artists The Committee discussed posting auditions and ISO's on the "Call for Artists" section of the Arts webpage. II. Commission Home Page The Commission discussed putting Commission member bios on the arts webpage in the future. III. Featured Artist or Event Discussion on finding an artist or local event to be featured on the arts webpage . 6. NEW BUSINESS A. Grass Root Marketing The Committee discussed sharing events, works of art, and artists on personal and business sites to celebrate the arts in Joliet.
