In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL Present: Eryn Blaser Erick Dorris Crystal Malone Absent: Lonnie Posley APPROVAL OF MINUTES TMP-3301 Attachments: January 10 2022 Funding Sbcm Meeting Minutes for Approval CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak. FUTURE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES TO FOCUS ON IN 2022 Art Walk/First Friday or Final Friday Event Subcommittee discussed that this is going to be one of the main events that was talked about at the last Arts Commission meeting of a whole for 2022. This will be an all culminating event that will bring several businesses and institutions together to celebrate and showcase the Arts within the community. The subcommittee discussed and reviewed over possible dates of this event and discussed next steps. The subcommittee discussed that communication, and discussing with the whole Arts Commission to get feedback and finalize a date. Grants The subcommittee discussed the reapplication process and deadlines. The subcommittee discussed other possible grants and deadlines nearing soon. REVIEW TIMELINE FOR FUTURE ITEMS Planning for Future Subcommittee Meetings The subcommittee discussed planning a future meeting date in early to mid- March. Goals and Items that can be Worked on Before Next Meeting The subcommittee discussed working on getting items together to go through the reapplication process and next steps for The Art Walk.
