1. ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order at 4:22 p.m. Commissioners Blaser, Dorris, and Simpson
were in attendance.
Present Donna Franks-Tapley and Ellis Wright
Absent Priscilla Cordero and Lonnie Posley
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes were approved by a vote of 3-0.

3. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS

4. FUTURE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES TO FOCUS ON IN 2022
A. Art Walk
Discussion ensued regarding the timing of an Arts Walk event for Spring of 2023. The
subcommittee agreed that a Saturday in May of 2023 would likely be best.
B. Grant
Commissioner Dorris updated the subcommittee that he will be meeting with Kevin Sing from
the City's Finance Department to discuss how grants funds can be expended and if the
Commission is allowed to take in money for events. Further discussion was had on how the
Commission goes about marketing events that it wants to conduct.
C. What to Consider For End of Year & 2023
Discussion was had on how to generate Commission participation in the Art Walk event.
5. REVIEW TIMELINE FOR FUTURE ITEMS
A. Planning for Future Subcommittee Meetings
The subcommittee scheduled its next meeting for November 14, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. This
meeting did not take place.
B. Goals and Items that can be Worked On Before Next Meeting
The subcommittee discussed putting together a list of sponsorships for the Art Walk before its

next meeting.

Motion adjourn the meeting by Dorris, seconded by Simpson was approved 3-0. The meeting
was adjourned at 4:59 p.m.
