ROLL CALL Present John Stefanski, Tomas Ponce, Natalie Coleman and Herb Lande Excused Quinn Adamowski APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by John Stefanski, seconded by Herb Lande, to approve Board of Fire and Police Commissioners meeting minutes for 10/17/2024, 11/12/2024, and 12/9/2024. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Stefanski, Ponce, Coleman and Lande Excused: Adamowski Board of Fire and Police Commissioners - 10/17/2024 TMP-8095 meeting minutes. SECRETARY’S REPORT Secretary Stefanski read into the record for Joliet Fire Department - candidate #72 Matthew Villegas withdrew on 1/4/2025, candidate #30 Connor Lowman withdrew 1/4/2025, candidate #41 Dewhon Gavin withdrew 1/7/2025, and candidate #33 Daniel Goetsch withdrew on 1/10/2025. Secretary Stefanski read into the record for Joliet Police Department - #118 Quintin Phillips was removed due to age requirement on 1/7/2025, #115 Timothy Harney withdrew on 1/12/2025, and #113 Tlatoani Paramo withdrew on 1/12/2025. Page 1 of 2 Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final January 13, 2025 NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION None. HEARING OF CHARGES FOR ALFONSO SANCHEZ Meeting went into Recess Meeting reconvened Attorney Todd Lenzie stated that the meeting would be continue on 2/5 to allow all member of the Board to be present for the hearing of Officer Sanchez. Attorney Steve Calcaterra agreed to reschedule the meeting to 2/5/2025 in order for the commission to be fair. Commissioner Coleman is unable to attend the rescheduled meeting of 2/5/2025. Secretary Stefanski stated that the new date for the hearing is set for 2/12/2025. A motion was made by Herb Lande, seconded by Natalie Coleman, to approve the continued meeting to 2/12/2025. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Stefanski, Ponce, Coleman and Lande Excused: Adamowski CLOSED SESSION A Closed Session was not needed. PUBLIC COMMENT None.
