In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. INVOCATION: Councilman Mudron gave the invocation. Pam Hunte, Chairman of the International Committee with Zonta in the Joliet area, accepted and thanked the Mayor and Council for their recognition. Proclamation Honoring Will Ogrizovich The City Clerk stated this Proclamation will be brought back to Council at a later date. He briefly discussed the ongoing negotiations with Local 44 and the Firefighter's Supervisor's Union. NEW BUSINESS (Not for Final Action or Recommendation): None. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS: Councilman Clement spoke regarding asphalt repair needed at Midland Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue. Councilman Guerrero spoke regarding concerns on repairs after water main replacements . A brief discussion was held regarding coordination between roadways and water department regarding repairs and closing out work order requests in the City's CitizenVue app. Councilman Hug briefly spoke regarding the "Imagine a Day Without Water" and the city's response to address this concern. Councilman Mudron congratulated Allie Quigley on her recent contribution to the WNBA championship. Councilwoman Quillman briefly spoke regarding Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She gave her condolences to Scott Surges' family and also discussed the Trick or Treat hours on Sunday, October 31, 2021 4-7 p.m. Councilwoman Reardon highlighted the Witches Night Out last week, Joliet Area Historical Museum - Old Joliet Prison Haunted History Tours. Councilman Hug wished his wife a happy birthday. Mayor O'Dekirk highlighted his visit at Forest Park School, a CMAP award given to Allison Swisher for her work on the alternative water project, Canadian National donation for the American Bloom Project, CAPA neighborhood forum regarding single family rentals, Governor Pritzker announcement concerning I-80 repairs, University of St. Francis - State of the University address, and Halloween Trick or Treat hours.
