Sister Mary Frances Seeley accepted and thanked the Mayor and Council for their recognition. Mayor D'Arcy read a letter his office received from the Knights of Columbus Council 11531 congratulating and thanking Sister Mary Frances Seeley for her hard work and dedication. Proclamation - Nurses Ascension Saint Joseph - Joliet Attachments: Approver Report Councilwoman Quillman read a Proclamation issued by Mayor D'Arcy recognizing and thanking the St. Joseph nurses. Pat Meade with the St. Joseph's Nurse Association accepted and thanked the Mayor and Council for their support and recognition. A few nurses spoke regarding the need for safe patient care at St. Joseph. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Joe Clement, to approve the Agenda as written with the following change: Remove Council Memo Page 1 of 21 City Council Meeting Meeting Minutes - Final June 20, 2023 #309-23: Authorization to Remit the Remaining 2023 Operating Subsidy for the Joliet Area Historical Museum from Consent Agenda and vote on it separately. Doug Kasper spoke regarding a proclamation for the non-violent city project. Mayor D'Arcy spoke regarding the creation of a community taskforce. Kathy Garthus spoke regarding the development around her property. MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS: Mayor wished everyone a great summer. Councilwoman Ibarra invited everyone out to Nowell Park to discuss blasting at 620 Sandall Place. Councilwoman Quillman recognized John Lukancic for a book he wrote. Councilwoman Reardon highlighted the Taste of Joliet, fireworks coming up at Inwood Memorial Stadium and wished everyone a fun, safe 4th of July.
