Hug, Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, Councilman Pat Mudron, Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon CITY MANAGER: The Interim City Manager spoke regarding the USEPA Grant received by the City for water main replacement. He also discussed the City of Joliet Fire Department being nominated for the Governor's Hometown Award. NEW BUSINESS (Not for Final Action or Recommendation): Councilman Clement spoke regarding being proactive in reference to the City having some supplies available in case of an emergency. Per Councilman Hug's request, Todd Greenburg, Interim Corporation Counsel, will put together a presentation concerning the Inspector General position. Councilwoman Ibarra wished the Joliet Department well on their presentation and she highlighted the Warren Sharpe Community Center Garden open house, Joliet Unity Movement Kids Day at Nowell Park Community Center, St. Joe's nurses informational picket, St. Pat's Neighborhood Council 100 days in office, and thanked the council and mayor for all their support. Councilwoman Quillman thanked Jim Torri for getting her the information she requested and spoke in support of St. Joe's Hospital nursing staff. Councilwoman Reardon expressed her support of the nurses at St. Joe's Hospital. Mayor D'Arcy highlighted the positivity in the community, the 815 Program, the Garden, Cornerstone Services Wellness facility opening, support of Congresswoman Underwood, Tomorrow Starts Today Program at St. Mark's Church, a local family reunion, and Community Cares Program (CCP). He also expressed his support for the nurses at Ascension St. Joe's Hospital. PUBLIC COMMENTS: The nurses with Ascension Nurses Association spoke regarding their future strike and negotiations. Dominic resident of River Walk Homes spoke regarding mold at the residence affecting her children. Per Councilwoman Quillman's request, Kathy Franson Human Resource Director gave a brief update on Korn Ferry's search for a permanent City Manager. She also gave a brief update on the search for a permanent Corporation Counsel. A brief discussion was held regarding a timeline for considering candidates for these positions and salary paid by other communities for their Corporation Counsel.
