Mayor D'Arcy made a commitment to discuss with the Will County Executive concerning
formalizing the River's Edge tax credits.
Councilman Hug explained there has not been any formal discuss held concerning a
city-county campus. A brief discussion was held regarding this topic and redevelopment
options.

Councilman Hug existed the meeting at approximately 9:31 p.m.
CITY MANAGER:
The Interim City Manager congratulated the Latino Economic Development Association on the
Fiesta and highlighted the upcoming Mexican Independence Parade.
He informed Council the consultant will give an update on the downtown parking study and
the Illinois Service Commission on Volunteerism Governor's Hometown Sign Presentation will
be at the next meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Mary White spoke regarding Riverwalk apartments and her personal story of the opportunity
given to her by staying at Riverwalk (Evergreen Terrace).

MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS:
Councilman Cardenas thanked everyone for their support of the Fiesta En La Calle and the
Joliet Park District and Foundation for the reconstruction of the park located at Parkwood and
Route 6.
Councilman Clement expressed his respect and appreciate for everyone on the Council.
Councilman Guerrero highlighted the Fiesta En La Calle, the Mexican Independence Parade,
and Pridefest. He thanked the Mayor for bringing everyone together on the resubdivision and
discussed the importance of the old courthouse location to the revitalization of downtown .
Councilwoman Ibarra thanked the constituents of District 5 for their involvement and staff for
addressing their concerns. She also highlighted Pride month.
Councilman Mudron also highlighted the ribbon cutting for the park located Parkwood and
Route 6.
Councilwoman Quillman highlighted the Festival En La Calle and a salsa dance lesson event
at the old courthouse. She concurred with Councilman Clement's comments.
Councilwoman Reardon discussed a meeting with Messiah Lutheran Church and the
possibility of loosing the church and a volunteer program Saluting Branches at the Abraham
Lincoln Cemetery.
Mayor highlighted Rainbow Push Coalition for youth programs, Denise Winfrey receiving the
Latino Award, Ecolab Celebration of 50th Anniversary of the Joliet plant, Live Well Community
Day with the National Hookup of Black Women, and meeting with HUD.

petitioner is completed, interested parties will be allowed to present evidence and/or cross examine the petitioner. As
this hearing is legislative in nature and not administrative, an interested party shall be defined as someone who either
