CITY MANAGER:
The City Manager gave an update on downtown construction and highlighted the City Center
Partnership video premier and Will County Route 66 Centennial Summit.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
DiAnn Matter spoke in opposition of the proposed Loves Truck Stop on Briggs Street.
Christopher Knight spoke regarding an event for kids being held on Saturday, April 19th.

Natasha Nelson spoke regarding a sinkhole in her backyard.
MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS:
Councilman Cardenas gave the honoring and visitation details for Ssgt Jose Duenez Jr.
At the request of Councilman Clement, Deputy City Manager Christa Desiderio explained the
City's efforts to work with ComEd to repair streetlight outages. Councilman Clement discussed
weeds, water main break roadway repairs, and City's bidding process.
Councilman Guerrero discussed this being his last voting meeting and thanked everyone that
has been part of this journey thus far.
Councilman Hug discussed the Council placing a cap on dispensaries and wished everyone a
blessed Passover and Easter.
Councilwoman Ibarra highlighted the upcoming District 5 Advisory Council meeting, becoming
a host family for Slammers baseball players, and expressed any help to the Duenez family
would be appreciated.
Councilman Mudron highlighted local wrestler successes and the success of the Deputy City
Manager's daughter's first year of coaching at Grand Valley State.
Councilwoman Quillman requested a neighborhood meeting to discuss the proposed Joliet
Catholic Academy stadium.
Councilwoman Reardon thanked the Fire Department and Police Department for all they do .
Mayor D'Arcy highlighted water conservation, honorary street names, City Center Square,
Audiophils, and the Joliet Area Historical Museum receiving Illinois Museum of the Year. He
wished everyone a blessed Easter and asked for continued prayers for the Duenez family.

All evidence and testimony will be presented under oath. The petitioner will be allowed to present first. After the
petitioner is completed, interested parties will be allowed to present evidence and/or cross examine the petitioner. As
this hearing is legislative in nature and not administrative, an interested party shall be defined as someone who either
owns property within 600 feet of the proposed development site, or a member or official representative of an affected
governmental body; the remainder of those who wish to be heard shall be classified as public speakers. Interested
parties will present second. Once the interested parties have completed, public speakers will be heard. These individuals
are public speakers, so the applicable public speaking rules shall be in effect: Speakers should try to address all
comments to the council as a whole and not to any individual member, repetitive comments are discouraged, total
comment time for any one person is 4 minutes, no speaker shall engage in a debate or make direct threats or personal
attacks or be uncivil or abusive, disruptive behavior by the members of the public will not be tolerated, and the presiding
officer may limit irrelevant, immaterial, or inappropriate comments or statements.
