INVOCATION: PLEDGE TO THE FLAG: ROLL CALL: Mayor D'Arcy recognized Joseph 'JoJo' Awinongya Jr. for his accomplishments. JoJo shared his recent experiences and accomplishments with everyone. Councilman Clement congratulated him. Councilman Hug also congratulated him, as did Councilman Moreno. The petitioner will be allowed to present first. After the petitioner is completed, interested parties will be allowed to present evidence and/or cross examine the petitioner. As this hearing is legislative in nature and not administrative, an interested party shall be defined as someone who either owns property within 600 feet of the proposed development site, or a member or official representative of an affected governmental body; the remainder of those who wish to be heard shall be classified as public speakers. Interested parties will present second. Once the interested parties have completed, public speakers will be heard. Kevin Sing, spoke on the hard work and dedication of staff, City Manager and Council. The City Manager mentioned her attendance at Santa Send- Off this past Saturday along with Councilwoman Quillman, she thanked Police and Fire for their work as well, reminded residents that City Hall will be closed for Christmas and New Year's Day, thanked everyone and wished a blessed and safe holiday. MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS: Councilman Cardenas - thanked Rosemaria DiBenedetto as well, acknowledged those who came out to speak, and wished everyone a Happy Holidays. Councilman Clement- thanked Rosemaria DiBenedetto for her time at the City, mentioned his and his daughter's attendance at Santa's Cops and the great turnout and thanked the Joliet Police, and asked for updates on I-80 from IDOT in the new year and wished everyone a Happy Holidays. Councilman Hug - thanked everyone who came out to speak tonight, mentioned the beginning of Hannukah and wished everyone a Happy Holidays. Councilwoman Ibarra - thanked those who came out to speak tonight about the data center, and wished everyone a Happy Holidays. Councilman Moreno- mentioned his attendance at Santa Send-Off, and wished everyone a Happy Holidays. Councilman Mudron - spoke about the fundraiser concert for Daybreak at the Rialto that the American Legion Band hosted last Sunday, he thanked Rosemaria DiBenedetto for her work, and wished everyone a Happy Holidays. Councilwoman Quillman - spoke about her attendance at Santa Send-Off, thanked the Joliet East Fire Dept for their use of their old fashion fire truck, offered condolences for Maxine Boykin's family, thanked those who came out to speak and wished everyone a Happy Holidays.
