Jojo and his father spoke regarding Jojo’s travels and upcoming tournaments and thanked Joliet for its support. Joe Jenkins spoke about the Millsdale Road closure and thanked those involved for addressing the issue. Lerida Vargas, owner of 337 Third Avenue, spoke about multiple shootings at the property and asked for assistance. A speaker spoke about concerns with the proposed data center. MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS: Councilwoman Reardon highlighted the swearing-in of nine new firemen and offered her congratulations. Councilwoman Quillman spoke about her attendance at the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) Chef's Tasting event to raise money for cerebral palsy. Councilman Mudron congratulated Mike Hansen on being inducted into the Joliet Catholic Academy Business Hall of Champions. Councilwoman Ibarra thanked City employees, the Council, and the Mayor for their hard work and dedication. Councilman Cardenas thanked residents who attended the Comprehensive Plan workshop . Mayor D'Arcy spoke about his travels to Washington, D.C. to meet with congressional delegates to emphasize the importance of the regional water project and the need for federal support.
