Turk APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Sherri Reardon, seconded by Bettye Gavin, to approve COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-0312: CTIS Committee Meeting Minutes March 11, 2020. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Reardon, Gavin, and Turk TMP-0312 Attachments: CTIS Minutes 031120 AXON PROJECT UPDATE David Braner, CIO provided an update about the Axon installation project for the city’s emergency services vehicles. The IT Department is updating the technology in all the Police squad vehicles and Fire Department apparatuses. Every Fire Department vehicles that should have a laptop in it has been updated. As of 8/4/20, 61 out of 150 Police squads are complete. The plan for completion is by Thanksgiving. IT is conducting one-on-one training sessions and providing quick reference cards to be kept in every squad. Mr. Braner stated that IT is in the process of building the network foundation for the additional video storage capacity needs. Mr. Sternal stated that the city’s Microsoft licensing renewal is coming up in October 2020 which is purchased through CDW’s. CDW only allows the city to modify the agreement once a year. This year, IT will continue purchasing the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement through CDW but will also include purchasing some software license from Heartland. Heartland will allow flexibility for changes throughout the year. MANAGED PRINT RFP Chris Sternal, IT Manager provided an update regarding the managed print services agreement with Martin Whalen. Currently, the city spends $89,000 per year on printer services which consists of printers, supplies, and technical support. The printer agreement is due for renewal at the end of 2020, therefore, Mr. Sternal and the Purchasing department are working on a Request For Proposal VUEWORKS ASSET MANAGEMENT PROJECT David Braner, CIO provided information regarding an asset management software named VueWorks. Mr. Braner stated that the city uses different databases for asset management. Mr. Braner stated that IT will be using VueWorks for inventory fleet management which would consolidating the various public safety vehicles databases into one. As inventory tracking matures, the city could use the additional functionality VueWorks has to offer. COMCAST FIBER FOR WEST PD Chris Sternal, IT Manager will be submitting a council memo at the 8/18/20 City Council Meeting regarding the Comcast contract information for fiber installation at the West Police Department. Mr. Sternal stated that the contract terms are $34,000 for 36 months and asked for a recommendation to move to full council for approval.
