The Governor’s Office and the Illinois Department of Public Health has activated a Tier 1 mitigation plan for Region 7 (Will
and Kankakee Counties). Tier 1 limits in-person meetings to 25 people or 25% of overall room capacity (whichever is less).
Council Chambers allows for 10 members of the public while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
During meetings, any member of the public physically present in the Council Chambers in excess of the limit will be asked to
wait in another room with live feed to the meeting until the Citizens To Be Heard on Agenda Items section or Public
Comments section of the meeting has commenced. Speakers will be rotated into Council Chambers to allow everyone an
opportunity to speak.
Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any
individual appearing in-person wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth.
Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

AXON TASER/SOFTWARE FINAL CONTRACT
Mr. David Braner, CIO, provided and update regarding the Axon Taser Software project . Mr.
Braner stated that the police department will be renewing their tasers with the most current
version from Axon. Included in this contract are the cartridges for training, virtual reality
training, software package Axon Citizen, redaction functionality, and contract renewal
protection with limited price increases.

DACRA CONTRACT RENEWAL
Mr. David Braner, CIO, provided an update on the Dacra contract renewal. Mr. Braner stated
that Dacra software is due to renew June 2021 and the city negotiated to increase like terms
plus a 10% increase with an additional option to renew for another 2 years at 7%.
This matter was recommend for approval
GIS STRATEGIC DIRECTION/VENDOR DISCUSSION
Mr. David Braner discussed the city's GIS strategic direction and vendor option. Mr. Braner
stated that we currently store our GIS data locally which increases risk in the event of a
disaster. Mr. Braner asked for approval to add a new vendor name CGS (Cultivate Geo
Spartial Solutions) to our professional services approved list so that they could help consult
and guide us with a recommendation and strategy. Mr. Braner said that CGS will help advise
the city on creating a redundancy for GIS and will help us with a plan for risk mitigation.
