Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final January 19, 2021
The Governor’s Office and the Illinois Department of Public Health activated a Tier 3 mitigation plan for all regions of the
State of Illinois, effective Friday, November 20, 2020. In an effort to support these mitigation measures, the City of Joliet is
limiting in person attendance in the council chambers to 10 people.
During meetings, groups of 10 people will be staged in various locations within city hall. These groups will wait in areas with
a live feed to the meeting until the Citizens to Be Heard on Agenda items section, the Public Hearing has commenced or the
Public Comments section of the meeting has commenced. Speakers will be rotated into Council Chambers to allow
everyone an opportunity to speak.
Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any
individual appearing in-person wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth.
Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov

A motion was made by Pat Mudron, seconded by Sherri Reardon, to approve the November
2020 and December 2020 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes. The motion carried by the

APPROVAL OF PAYMENTS FOR EMERGENCY REPAIR FOR THE CITY
OWNED BUILDING AT 141 EAST JEFFERSON STREET
Councilman Mudron posed a question. Mr. Ghedotte answered and gave a brief review of the
Emergency Repair for the City Owned Building at 141 East Jefferson Street. Brief discussion
held.
A motion was made by Sherri Reardon, seconded by Pat Mudron, to recommend to full
Council the Approval of Payments for Emergency Repair for the City Owned Building at 141
East Jefferson Street. The motion carried by the following vote:

Director of Human Resources Kathy Franson reviewed the Resolution to Approve Cash
Payments in Lieu of or Related to Healthcare Benefits. Brief discussion held.
A motion was made by Sherri Reardon, seconded by Pat Mudron, to recommend to full
Council the Resolution to Approve Cash Payments in Lieu of or Related to Healthcare

Mr. Ghedotte reviewed brief financial matters regarding the baseball stadium. City Clerk

regarding the same topic.
