City of Joliet 150 West Jefferson Street Joliet, IL 60432 Meeting Minutes - Final Tuesday, May 18, 2021 5:30 PM City Hall, Council Chambers Finance Committee Committee Members Pat Mudron Cesar Guerrero Sherri Reardon Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final May 18, 2021 Page 1 of 1 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final May 18, 2021 As Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan continues, Governor Pritzker is moving Illinois forward to a Bridge to Phase 5 mitigation on Friday, May 14, 2021. In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines, the capacity in Council Chambers will remain at 18 members of the public. During meetings, any member of the public physically present in the Council Chambers in excess of the limit will be asked to wait in another room with live feed to the meeting until the Citizens To Be Heard on Agenda Items section or Public Comments section of the meeting has commenced. Speakers will be rotated into Council Chambers to allow everyone an opportunity to speak. Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any individual appearing in-person wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL ALSO PRESENT: Director of Finance James Ghedotte and Director of Human Resources Kathy Franson. Present Pat Mudron, Sherri Reardon and Cesar Guerrero APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Pat Mudron, seconded by Sherri Reardon, to approve the minutes from the April 2021 Finance Committee Meeting. AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR COMPREHENSIVE BENEFIT CONSULTING/BROKER SERVICES Director of Human Resources Kathy Franson reviewed the Contract for Comprehensive Benefit Consulting/Broker Services. A motion was made by Sherri Reardon, seconded by Cesar Guerrero, to recommend for approval to full Council the Authorization to Award a Contract for Comprehensive Benefit Consulting/Broker Services. Brief discussion held. TMP-1685 Attachments: 2021-04 Monthly Financial Report PERSONNEL SUMMARY Ms. Franson briefly reviewed the Personnel Summary. Brief discussion held. TMP-1658 Attachments: May2021_Personnel Summary TRAVEL EXPENSE REPORT Mr. Ghedotte briefly reviewed the Travel Expense Report. TMP-1659 Attachments: Travel 04-2021 INVOICES PAID REPORT Councilman Mudron briefly commented on the Invoices Paid Report. Mr. Ghedotte reviewed the Report. TMP-1657 Attachments: 2021-04 Invoices Paid NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION Mr. Ghedotte stated that Riverwalk Homes would be attending the next Finance Committee Meeting in June to give a verbal presentation and then would attend the City Council Meeting in July.
